About Us

Who we are, how we’re structured, and what we believe.

Our Story

Built by someone who understands

Total Legacy Foundation Recovery Residence is a single-location recovery home in Riverdale, Georgia, operated by Arlene Summers. We are currently pursuing GARR (Georgia Association of Recovery Residences) certification and have built every policy and procedure to meet or exceed those standards.

We primarily serve three groups of people: people reentering from incarceration who face stigma, limited job options, and housing barriers; people recovering from substance use disorder who may carry complex trauma; and survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking who need safety, sensitivity, and specialized support.

We don’t have a building full of paid staff. This is a peer-led model — Arlene runs the program, and a resident Peer Lead helps keep things running day to day. That keeps our costs down and our community real.

Every resident is protected by the Fair Housing Act, ADA, and state non-discrimination laws. If you ever feel you’ve been treated unfairly, you can reach GARR directly at (470) 296-3435 — and nobody here will hold that against you.

Dignity comes first

We treat every resident with respect, no matter their background, identity, or where they’ve been.

Accountability, not punishment

When things go wrong, we talk it through. No fines, no financial penalties, no exploitation.

Recovery looks different for everyone

MAT-friendly. Narcan on-site. Annual training on medications and cultural sensitivity for everyone involved.

Your finances are your business

Nobody here — not the operator, not the Peer Lead — will ever touch your paycheck, lend you money, or ask for gifts.
